## What it is for

A founder, or a firm adding a subsidiary, needs a legal entity that exists on a state register, has a registered agent at an in-state address, holds a federal employer identification number and stays in good standing through annual reports and franchise taxes. Set out the state, the entity type, the filings and the deadlines in one place, so a filing service or registered agent can quote the whole job.

Founders forming a first company, firms adding a subsidiary or registering to do business in another state, accountants and agents acting for them, and owners who missed an annual report.

## What happens next

You get a reference number and a written brief of the formation or filings. We look at every requirement, and when we can point you to a filing service or registered agent that can take it on, we reply to the email you leave. Nothing is filed until you instruct a filing service. Nothing is ordered or committed until you agree terms. Contact details are kept apart from the requirement and deleted after 180 days.
